Hey there! So, it’s March and you’re still not seeing the results you were hoping from that New Year’s Resolution to eat healthier or workout more. Or maybe your resolution was to wake up earlier, or start taking better care of your skin. There is one common denominator that could help you get closer to achieving all of those goals. Water!
You guys, water is so important and making sure you stay extra well hydrated will contribute to a number of benefits including more energy, a faster metabolism, and clearer skin. I’m sure you’ve heard that 8 glasses a day is the amount that everyone should be drinking each day. Sure, that’s a great place to start, but what exactly constitutes a glass? And what if you’re much bigger or smaller than that average human drinking 8 glasses a day? The best way to determine exactly how much water you need to be drinking each day is to simply multiply your weight x 2/3.
So, I multiple 155 lbs x .666666 which = 103 ounces a day. Which seems like a lot. AND if you partake in daily workouts you should tack on an extra 10 ounces of water. So for me that is 113 ounces of water a day. Drinking that much water each day requires consciously paying attention to how much water I am drinking. Now, the good news is that this number includes all of your water intake for the day including fruits, veggies, coffee, tea, etc. You’re just trying to supplement the rest. I have a few easy tips that I use to make sure I am getting enough water every day.
